The making process of scented tea
The production process of scented tea generally includes the following steps:
Picking: First, fresh flowers need to be picked carefully. Choose healthy, disease-free and pest-free flowers, which are usually picked when they first open to ensure the freshness and fragrance of the petals.
Drying: The flowers need to be dried after being picked. Usually, the flowers are laid flat in a ventilated and dry place, away from direct sunlight, and allowed to dry naturally. This process is designed to remove moisture from the flowers and preserve their shape and color.
Matching: When making scented tea, different types of flowers are usually matched. According to personal taste and needs, you can choose a single flower species or mix different flower species to obtain a unique taste and aroma of scented tea.
Blending: In a good proportion of flowers, other tea leaves or herbs can be added for blending. Common tea leaves include green tea, white tea, oolong tea, etc., while herbs such as lavender, rosemary, calendula, etc. are also often used with flowers to add layer and taste to scented tea.
Roasting/Fermentation: Some scented teas require roasting or fermentation. Roasting allows the tea leaves and flowers to better combine, enhancing the aroma and taste. Fermentation can change the taste and color of tea, creating different flavors.
Packaging: After production, scented tea is usually beautifully packaged. The design of the packaging can highlight the characteristics and beauty of the scented tea while maintaining the freshness and quality of the tea.
